Double Eyelids - Get it with Plastic Surgery?

Just a week ago, I heard several people discussing about fixing their eyes with double eyelids through cosmetic surgery.

Born with natural double eyelids, I did not realize that this operation, rated the most performed cosmetic surgery in my area (next being breast implants), is so much in demand. I was keen to find out more.

Why do people want double eyelids? Isn't surgery the last thing you want? I found out that there is a simple explanation, and it makes so much sense. It makes you look more approachable, friendly and confident. Especially when your single eyelids are your only regret on your face. This relatively easy and inexpensive cosmetic surgery can boost your self-esteem and widen your social circle.

Some of them are easier and cheaper, but it may not last long and/or it may not give you the most natural and well-shaped double eyelids. The incision method is the most common and it should be the most lasting and provides the most natural double eyelids if it is done by an experienced and professional cosmetic surgeon.

Which brings me to the most important point. The man/woman who will be doing the job. No surgeon can guarantee success in the operation or even assure you that the double eyelids will be natural. Word of mouth is very important. If you are interested in this operation, you must ask around and check the reputation of the cosmetic surgeon. A good surgeon will mean that most of his customers are satisfied with his work and may even go back for other cosmetic procedures. Look for a number of surgeons before you decide.

What if, something goes wrong? This is always a possibility, but do not worry, they can fix it most of the time. The ability to fix the problem will very much depend on the extent of the damage that was done in the last operation. Therefore, looking for a reliable surgeon for your procedure can reduce your risk of complications.

Although having your double eyelids done is a quite small operation, you will still need to be mentally prepared. Speak to your family, your friends, your colleagues etc and ask them for their honest opinions. Would they like your new eyelids? Do they encourage you to do it? With their support, you will have the assurance to take that step.
